My freeze is it adware?
I have been reading about a new problem,It is probably an adware program called my freeze.It apparently installed itself on my friends computor,a dell running xp pro and seems like it hijacks your homepage and produces popups. I heard about it in an email from my friend and when i googled it i got a lot of hits aparrently a lot of peoples computors have been affected by this.Has anyone heard how to remove it? I wonder if spybot search and destroy could stop this program?

Hi,all it turns out that freeze dot com is one of those sites that offer free wallpapers,sreensavers and games. They are known for dangerous downloads,browser hijacks,spyware,adware and the like. I had my friend install and run avira antivirus,and spybot search and destroy and together they pretty much cleaned up her computor. I guess if there is a moral to this story it would have to be that the internet is a dangerous place so be carefull what you click on. Thx Rich
