The Seinfeld/Gates Ad for Windows

I hope at some point someone from Microsoft lets us know what they were trying to get across to us with those ads. I saw the new ad with "PC" and liked it, but I don't know if MS can get passed this bogus perception that Vista is a broken OS, since Apple has been hammering that "point" for over a year now. I'm curious as to what marketing MS will engage in when Windows 7 ships, if I were them I would already be thinking about it.
